Ingredients/Components

  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • chopped onion - 1/2 item
  • kidney beans, drained - 2 c
  • French dressing - 1/2 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • shredded lettuce - 4 c
  • sliced green onions - 1/2 c
  • shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • avocado, chopped - 1 item

How to make mexican salad:

Brown ground beef and onion. Stir in beans, dressing, water and chili powder. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add other ingredients and 1/2 cup cheese. Toss lightly. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve with crisp tortillas if desired. Add avocado last.
