Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • chopped onions - 1/4 c
  • snipped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • ground sage - 1/2 tsp
  • ground beef
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp

How to make meat loaf:

Combine eggs and milk; stir in crumbs, onions, parsley, salt, sage and pepper. Add beef; mix well. Pat into an 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 1/4 hours. Spoon off fat. Combine catsup, sugar and mustard; spread over meat. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Serves 6.
