Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • hot water - 1 qt
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chili powder - 2 tsp
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • tomato juice - 1 qt
  • uncooked rice - 1 c
  • ground pork - 1/2 lb

How to make meat balls:

Put tomato juice and water in large pan and bring to boil; keep boiling.

Mix all ingredients well. Form into balls (size of walnut). Drop into boiling liquid. Turn heat down. Cover and cook very slowly, about 1 1/2 hours.

Use sauce to season spaghetti. This was Sunday dinner most of the time.
