Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1/3 c
- soda
- cocoa - 3 tsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- corn syrup - 1 tsp
- hot water - 1 c
- mayonnaise - 2/3 c
How to make mayonnaise cake:
Frosting:1 c. sugar1/3 c. water1 tsp. corn syrup1/8 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla2 egg whites Cake: Mix everything together, adding soda last. Mix until fluffy. Bake at 350° until toothpick comes out clean.Frosting: Stir first 4 ingredients until well blended. Boil slowly (without stirring) until mixture spins long thread in cup of water. Beat egg whites until stiff and combine with cooked mixture. Beat until fluffy. Add vanilla.
