Macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- skim milk - 1 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 2 tsp
- chopped fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- 4 oz - 1 c
- bread crumbs - 2 Tbsp
- white pepper - 1/2 tsp
- uncooked macaroni - 2 c
- egg whites, slightly beaten - 2 item
- vegetable spray - 1 item
- fat-free cottage cheese, placed in blender - 3 c
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook macaroni according to package directions; leave slightly undercooked. Drain. Blend together egg whites, skim milk, cottage cheese, Cheddar cheese, white pepper and parsley. Mix sauce with macaroni and spoon into 1-quart baking dish sprayed with vegetable spray.In small bowl mix bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and paprika. Sprinkle on top of mixture. Bake for 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
