Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- stick margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make lemon pound cake:
Sift flour twice. Cream margarine and sugar together. Add Crisco and cream. Add eggs beating well. Add milk, flavoring and baking powder mixing well. Fold in flour 1/2 cup at a time. Mix thoroughly. Pour in greased tube pan. Bake at 350° about 50 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
