  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • Beat until light and fluffy
  • sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
  • bottle red food color - 1 item

How to make red velvet pound cake:

Cream margarine and shortening with sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add alternately with milk. Add vanilla and food coloring. Mix well. Bake
