Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 2 item
  • boiling water
  • speck of salt - 1 item
  • lemon, grated rind and juice or just lemon juice to taste - 1 item

How to make lemon pie:

Mix flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt. Add boiling water, stirring constantly. Boil slowly 10 minutes. Stir in egg yolk and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add lemon juices and rind. Fill baked crust; cover with meringue. Bake at 325° for 15 minutes. Can use whipped cream instead of meringue.
