Lemon ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- flour
- lemon flavoring - 2 Tbsp
- whole milk - 1/2 gal
- can Carnation milk - 1 item
- water finish filling container with water - 1 item
How to make lemon ice cream:
Combine sugar and flour; mix with 1/2 gallon whole milk and beaten eggs. Cook until it forms a custard. Be sure to cook on low heat and stir to keep from scorching. If it lumps at all, strain through strainer after you have added Carnation and flavoring. Let cool and then freeze.Note: Velma would make this for our church gathering (ice cream party).
