Ingredients/Components
- can refried beans - 1 oz
- taco sauce - 1/2 c
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 3 oz - 3/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- sour cream - 1/4 c
- mayonnaise - 3 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- large avocado, seeded and peeled - 1 item
- medium onion, minced - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- tomato, seeded and chopped - 1 item
- pitted ripe olives - 1/2 c
- sliced green onions - 1/2 c
- tortilla chips - 1 item
How to make layered taco salad:
Stir together beans and taco sauce. Spread the bean mixture evenly in rectangular dish on bottom and sides. Sprinkle half of shredded cheese over bean layer.In small bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and garlic powder; beat with mixer until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the cheese. Cut avocado into small pieces. In blender, blend avocado, onion and lemon juice. Spread avocado mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle avocado layer with sliced green onions, chopped tomatoes, olives and remaining cheese. Chill 4 hours. Serve with chips (tortilla).
