Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- cherry tomatoes, halved - 2 c
- celery, chopped - 3/4 c
- low-fat mayonnaise - 1 pt
- large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/2 lb
- lettuce, finely shredded - 3/4 1
- shredded Cheddar or Jack cheese
How to make layered salad:
In a large bowl or 9 x 13-inch pan layer first with lettuce. Add other ingredients in order given. Spread with mayonnaise. Top with cheese and bacon. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (24 hours). Serves 8 to 10.Recipe categories: Salads, 3 steps or less, > 1 day.
