Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cherry tomatoes, halved - 2 c
  • celery, chopped - 3/4 c
  • low-fat mayonnaise - 1 pt
  • large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/2 lb
  • lettuce, finely shredded - 3/4 1
  • shredded Cheddar or Jack cheese

How to make layered salad:

In a large bowl or 9 x 13-inch pan layer first with lettuce. Add other ingredients in order given. Spread with mayonnaise. Top with cheese and bacon. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (24 hours). Serves 8 to 10.
