Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1 c
  • prepared mustard - 2 Tbsp
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • apple cider vinegar - 1 c
  • celery seed - 1/2 tsp
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • large head cabbage, shredded - 1 item

How to make cole slaw:

Combine first 3 ingredients in large mixing bowl. Mix sugar in and set aside. Meanwhile, bring vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed and mustard to a boil. Remove from heat and add oil. Bring to boil again and pour over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate at least 2 days. Will keep for 2 weeks.
