Layered salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise
- chopped green peppers - 1/2 c
- head lettuce - 1/2 item
- diced bacon - 1/2 lb
How to make layered salad:
Cook peas until tender. Fry bacon until crisp. (May substitute bacon bits in jar for bacon.) Drain peas.Layer lettuce, celery, peppers, onion and peas in flat glass baking dish. Combine mayonnaise and sugar in a separate bowl. Pour mayonnaise and sugar mixture over top.
Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and Cheddar cheese. Cover. Chill at least 8 hours before serving.
