Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • salt
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • ground beef
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • oregano - 1 Tbsp
  • basil
  • can water - 1 item
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • garlic clove, minced - 1 item
  • large onion, finely chopped - 1 item
  • Italian sausage
  • large garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • grated Romano cheese - 1/2 c
  • large can tomato paste - 1 item
  • mushrooms, sliced optional - 1 lb
  • Mozzarella cheese, chopped - 1/2 lb
  • large cans tomatoes, coarsely chopped - 2 item
  • box lasagna noodles parboiled - 1 item

How to make lasagna:

Saute onions in a small amount of olive oil. Add garlic. Brown ground beef, sausage and mushrooms. Cool mixture. Mix the 2 beaten eggs into the mixture. Add salt and pepper. Toss cheeses together; set aside.

Spread small amount of sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Line it with the noodles. Layer the meat mixture, sauce and the combination of cheeses. Repeat this step, ending with noodles on top. Spread remaining sauce, topped with the rest of the cheese. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
