Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- grated cheese - 2 c
- ground beef
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- mild taco sauce - 1 item
- green olives, sliced - 6 item
- Ortega taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
- Ortega taco shells, coarsely broken - 10 item
- large wedged tomato - 1 item
How to make taco casserole:
Place 1/2 taco shells in lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. I skillet brown beef until crumbly; drain. Add taco mix and water. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Stir in onion and tomato sauce. Spoon over taco shells. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups cheese, rest of taco shells and remaining cheese. Top with tomato wedges and olives.
