  • butter - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • raisins white - 1 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flour - 4 c
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • nuts pecans - 1 c

  • cans coconut - 2 item
  • melted butter - 3 Tbsp
  • red candied cherries - 1 c
  • coconut juice - 1 c
  • juice and grated rinds - 1 item

How to make japanese fruitcake:

Cream the butter and sugar. Add milk. Beat well and add beaten eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix into batter and add nuts and raisins. Reserve 1 3/4 cups batter for filling. Bake in 3 layers at 375° for 25 minutes. Yields 3 large or 4 smal
