Italian meat sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- water - 1 item
- bay leaf - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- hamburger
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- medium onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- cloves garlic, finely chopped - 3 item
- can tomato puree - 1 oz
- sweet basil - 1 tsp
How to make italian meat sauce:
Brown onion, garlic and sweet basil in olive oil. Add salt and pepper. Add meat and brown. Add tomato puree, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Fill each can with cold water and pour water into sauce. Add sugar and bay leaves, stir well. Cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Uncover and simmer 1 hour more. Serve over cooked spaghetti.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Meat, Beef.
