- salt
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
- chopped onions - 3/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef
- Italian style bread crumbs - 1 c
How to make italian meat loaf:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, tomato sauce, eggs and salt. Mix just until ingredients are blended. In a shallow baking pan, shape meat mixture into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf. Bake until meat loaf is cooked through, about 45 to 50 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese if desired and bake 5 minutes longer. Remove and let stand 5 minutes before serving. Yield: 6 portions.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
