Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • ground turkey - 1/2 lb
  • shredded lettuce - 1 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • chopped tomatoes - 1 c
  • medium avocados - 2 item
  • small can sliced black olives - 1 item
  • 10-inch flour tortillas - 6 item
  • dry taco mix - 1 pkg
  • small can refried beans - 1 item
  • pico taco sauce - 1/4 c

How to make tacoritos:

Deep fry the flour tortillas and form in the shape of a rectangle taco shell. (Fry both sides of tortilla and fold in half.) Brown turkey meat in frying pan; when browned, add in beans and dry taco mix. This mixture will be used for the filling of the tacorito. Chop the tomatoes; shred the cheese and shred the lettuce. Put these in separate bowls for garnishing the tacorito. Also, put the olives in a separate bowl. The tacorito can be topped with the ingredients, with guacamole and sour cream on the top.

Guacamole: Use two ripe avocados and mash with fork until blended. Add the salt and the pico taco sauce. May add a little water to get desired consistency.
