Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- coconut - 1 c
- oil - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar
- stiffly beaten egg whites - 4 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- soda, dissolved in 1 c - 1 tsp
- beaten egg yolks reserve whites - 4 item
- Mix flour and buttermilk in alternately with ingredients
How to make italian cream cake:
Mix first 4 ingredients together. Mix flour and buttermilk in alternately with ingredients. Add coconut, pecans and vanilla. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch round cake pans. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.Frosting:8 oz. cream cheese1 stick oleo1 tsp. vanilla1 1/2 lb. powdered sugar Sprinkle pecans on top.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
