- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg
- flour - 2 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- egg whites, beaten - 5 item
How to make italian cream cake:
Icing:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/2 c. margarine1 box powdered sugar Combine first 6 ingredients and mix well. Add coconut and pecans. Fold in egg whites. Bake in 3 layers at 350°.Combine cream cheese, margarine and powdered sugar. Beat well. Frost cake when cool.
