Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- egg yolks - 5 item
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- beaten egg whites - 5 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- can coconut - 13 oz
- Add beaten egg yolks; add flour, baking soda and milk, then add coconut and vanilla and fold in egg whites
How to make italian cream cake:
Cream margarine and Crisco. Add beaten egg yolks; add flour, baking soda and milk, then add coconut and vanilla and fold in egg whites. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until cake springs back.Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick margarine1 box powdered sugar1 c. chopped pecans1 tsp. vanilla Split layers of cake.
