- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- egg yolks - 5 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Angel Flake coconut - 1 c
- Add sugar and egg yolks and beat
How to make italian cream cake:
Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar and egg yolks and beat. Combine flour and soda and alternate with buttermilk. Add vanilla, pecans and coconut. Fold in 5 beaten egg whites. Pour into 3 greased and floured 8-inch pans to bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
