- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 to
- baking powder
- raisins - 1 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
How to make irish scone:
Set oven to 375°. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan; set aside. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Rub in the butter, then add sugar and raisins. Add egg, then buttermilk until mixture is stiff, not runny. (If too runny, add a little more flour.)Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes, then turn off oven. Let set 7 to 10 minutes more until golden brown, then remove and cool.
