Ice cream sandwiches
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 3/4 tsp
- margarine or butter - 1/3 c
- miniature marshmallows - 5 c
- Popeye sweet puff cereal - 5 c
- brick-style ice cream any flavor - 1 pt
How to make ice cream sandwiches:
Line a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan with aluminum foil. Grease. Melt marshmallows and margarine until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal; mix well. Spread into prepared pan. Cool completely. Cut cereal mixture in half, crosswise. Cut ice cream 3/8-inch thick slices. Arrange one-half pan of cereal mixture. Top with remaining half. Freeze until firm. Cut into 12 sandwiches.
