  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour
  • baking powder
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • celery seed - 1/4 tsp
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • crushed red pepper - 1 tsp
  • corn meal
  • regular size creamed corn - 1 item

How to make hush puppies:

Mix together. Drop into fat at 375°. Cook until golden brown (about 10 minutes). Use rounded teaspoonful of batter for each hush puppie. This makes a large amount. You can mix dry ingredients and put in Ziploc Baggie and keep on hand.
