- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- small onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- corn meal
How to make hush puppies:
Mix together the first 7 ingredients. Chopped onion may be added. Drop 1/2 teaspoon at a time into hot oil. Delicious with fish.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Southern u.s..
