Hush puppies

Ingredients/Components

• soda - 1/2 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• self-rising flour - 2 Tbsp
• egg, beaten - 1 item
• self-rising cornmeal - 2 c

How to make hush puppies:

Mix measured cornmeal, flour and soda together. Add buttermilk and mix; blend in beaten egg, drop by spoonfuls into skillet or pan in which fish is being fried. Fry until well browned. Drain on paper and serve with fish.
