Hush puppies

Ingredients/Components

• milk - 1/2 c
• oil - 1/4 c
• boiling water
• egg - 1 item
• self-rising flour - 1/2 c
• medium onion, chopped - 1/2 item
• green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
• oil for frying - 1 item
• self-rising cornmeal

How to make hush puppies:

Stir cornmeal in the boiling water. Cook until thick, 3 to 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients to cornmeal mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoonful into hot oil. Cook until brown.
