Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar, packed - 1/2 c
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- apple cider - 2 qt
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- stick cinnamon - 1 item
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
How to make hot mulled cider:
Put all spices in cheesecloth bag and tie securely. Bring all ingredients to a boil in large saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Remove spice bag. Serve with cinnamon stick stirrers. Makes 10 servings.To Make in Crock-pot: Put ingredients in crock-pot and cook on high for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove spice bag. Reduce heat to low until nearly ready to serve. May be kept on low for many hours. Really makes the house smell like Christmas!
