Hot fruit casserole
Ingredients/Components
- can pineapple chunks - 1 1/2
- can pineapple, crushed - 1 oz
- can chunky fruit - 1 item
- bottle cherries - 1 item
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- coarsely mashed, cooked carrots - 1 c
- Ritz cracker crumbs - 1 c
- melted margarine - 1/2 c
How to make hot fruit casserole:
Drain fruit, reserving 6 tablespoons pineapple juice. Combine sugar and flour. Add reserved juice. Add cheese, fruit and carrots. Mix well. Place in oblong baking dish.Combine melted margarine to cracker crumbs. Pour over ingredients in baking dish (9 x 13-inch). Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until lightly brown in a 350° oven.
