- sugar - 3 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt
- flour - 6 c
- soda - 3 tsp
- cocoa - 3/4 c
- shortening
- nuts
- raisins
- cloves - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- hot applesauce - 4 c
How to make hot applesauce cake:
Heat applesauce. Melt shortening in applesauce; add sugar, dry ingredients, nuts and raisins. Bake in greased and floured loaf pans at 325° approximately 1 hour. This is an old-timer's recipe. Keeps well and can be frozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
