Homemade applesauce
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- brown sugar, packed - 1/2 c
- medium cooking apples, chopped small - 4 item
How to make homemade applesauce:
Heat apples and water over medium heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat to boiling 1 to 2 minutes, then mash. Makes 4 cups applesauce.Recipe categories: Fruit, Condiments, etc., Side dish.
