  • chopped pecans - 4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • candied pineapple, chopped - 1/2 lb
  • box light brown sugar - 1 item
  • candied cherries red and green - 1/2 lb
  • creamy butter - 1 lb

How to make holiday pound cake:

Beat eggs one at a time. Add sugar, butter and flavoring. Put salt and soda in sifted flour. Remove 1 cup flour to roll pecans and fruits in before combining in cake. Add floured fruits and nuts and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt or round cake pan. Bake 3 hours at 250°.
