Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 item
- Grand Marnier - 1/3 c
- orange juice - 2/3 c
- 3/4-inch thick slices French bread - 8 item
- fine grated peel of orange optional - 1 item
How to make holiday french toast:
Beat eggs in large bowl. Add orange juice and all ingredients, except bread and powdered sugar. Dip bread in egg mixture and place in baking dish. Pour any remaining egg mixture on top. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning once.You can bake at 350° until egg mixture is cooked by piercing toast or fry like regular French toast. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
