Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- flaked coconut - 1/2 c
- medium oranges, peeled and sliced - 6 item
- pitted dates, cut in halves lengthwise - 1 c
- fresh grated orange peel - 2 tsp
How to make holiday ambrosia:
In glass compote or serving dish, arrange alternate layers of orange slices, dates and coconut; chill. Combine sour cream, sugar and 1 teaspoon orange peel; chill. Serve over fruit, sprinkled with remaining orange peel. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Note: It is easiest to grate peel from whole orange before peeling and slicing.
