Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• butter - 3/4 c
• water
• cocoa - 3/4 c
• baking soda

How to make hand-me-down chocolate cake:

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Mix well after each addition. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch baking pans. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
