Hamburger quiche
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- hamburger - 8 oz
- white pepper - 1/8 tsp
- green onion - 1/3 c
- medium cheddar cheese, shredded - 8 oz
- 10 inch pie shell, rimmed - 1 item
How to make hamburger quiche:
Saut?© hamburger and drain excess fat. Blend mayonnaise, milk, eggs and cornstarch until smooth. Add hamburger, cheese, onion and pepper. Mix to distribute. Pour mixture into raw pie shell (approximately 3 cups). Bake on a sheet pan in 400° oven for 10-15 minutes until filling has begun to set. Then reduce oven to 350° and bake for another 25 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Allow quiche to set for a few minutes, then cut and serve hot.NOTE: I double the recipe and freeze one for later.
