Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 2 oz
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • mayonnaise - 1/4 c
  • cooked, diced ham - 2 c
  • baked deep dish pie shell - 1 item

How to make ham and asparagus pie:

Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in next 3 ingredients. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Stir small amount of sauce into mayonnaise, then stir into mixture in saucepan. Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice; cook until heated. Turn into pie shell. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Broil about 2 minutes, until lightly browned. Serves 6.
