Ham and asparagus pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- margarine - 3 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- diced, cooked ham - 2 c
- 10 oz - 2 pkg
- baked 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
How to make ham and asparagus pie:
Melt margarine in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in next 3 ingredients. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Stir small amount of hot mixture into mayonnaise; then stir into hot mixture in saucepan. Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice. Cook until heated. Turn into a pastry shell. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil about 2 minutes, or until lightly browned.Recipe categories: Asparagus, Pork, Ham.
