Ingredients/Components
- white sugar - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- oil - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- flour
- almond flavoring - 2 tsp
- buttermilk
- nuts - 1 c
- each: cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon
- each: salt, soda and baking powder - 1 tsp
- sugar
- water - 3/4 c
How to make greek spice cake:
Syrup:2 c. sugar3/4 c. water Mix dry ingredients. Add oil to beaten eggs, buttermilk and flavoring. Add to dry ingredients and mix. Bake in greased 8 x 16 x 2-inch pan for 35 minutes at 350°. While hot, pour syrup over it.Syrup: Boil sugar and water for 2 minutes.
