  • white sugar - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • flour
  • almond flavoring - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk
  • nuts - 1 c
  • each: cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon
  • each: salt, soda and baking powder - 1 tsp
  • sugar
  • water - 3/4 c

How to make greek spice cake:

Syrup:2 c. sugar3/4 c. water Mix dry ingredients. Add oil to beaten eggs, buttermilk and flavoring. Add to dry ingredients and mix. Bake in greased 8 x 16 x 2-inch pan for 35 minutes at 350°. While hot, pour syrup over it.

Syrup: Boil sugar and water for 2 minutes.
