Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 3 tsp
  • nutmeg - 3/4 tsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • sliced almonds - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 6 8
  • honey - 1 c
  • sesame seed - 1 c
  • olive oil - 1 c
  • sunflower seeds - 1 c
  • wheat germ optional - 1 c
  • 7 grain cereal optional - 1 c
  • nonfat dry milk optional - 1 c

How to make granola:

Mix together oatmeal, almonds, coconut, sunflower seeds, sesame seed and optional ingredients thoroughly if used. Blend together olive oil, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour over first mixture. Mix well. Bake in 2 large pans (I use sheet cake pans) until lightly golden at approximately 300°, for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Serve warm or cool. May add raisins or other dried fruit after it has cooled. Store in large jar or cans in refrigerator if it won't be eaten in one week or so.
