Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- water - 1 c
- light Karo syrup
- flavoring or coloring - 1 tsp
How to make glass candy:
Combine sugar, water and Karo syrup over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Turn on high and put in candy thermometer. Let boil until 310° is reached. Do not stir. Watch closely, as it may boil over. When temperature is reached, take off heat. Add flavoring and coloring. Pour into shallow flat pan. Let cool completely (overnight is best). Break into bite size pieces. Toss with powdered sugar.Recipe categories: Desserts, Low protein, Candy.
