- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder
- boiling water - 1 c
- molasses
- sifted flour - 3 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- butter or shortening - 1 c
How to make ginger cake:
Sift flour once and measure; add baking soda, salt and spices. Sift together 3 times. Pour boiling water over butter; stir until blended. Add molasses, then beaten eggs and flour mixture. Stir until blended. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake 40Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Served hot.
