Ingredients/Components
- boiling water - 1 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
- sifted flour - 3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- ginger
- cinnamon
- molasses - 1 c
How to make gingerbread:
Pour water over shortening; add sugar, molasses and eggs. Beat well. Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, soda, cloves, ginger and cinnamon. Add to other mixture and mix well. Place in 3 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 40 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
