  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cooking oil - 1/2 c
  • medium potatoes - 4 item
  • black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • corn meal - 1/2 c

How to make german potatoes:

Peel and slice potatoes; batter with cornmeal, salt and pepper. Heat cooking oil in 10 inch skillet, hot. Cook potatoes in oil, covering bottom of skillet with each. Fry, turn until light brown and tender. Remove onto paper towel dish. Continue cooking until all potatoes are cooked. Serve with black-eyed peas, pinto beans and soup.
