Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vinegar - 1 c
  • sauerkraut any kind - 1 qt
  • oil you might like less - 1/2 c
  • big onion, diced - 1 item
  • dill weed more or less to taste - 1 Tbsp
  • pimento or green pepper if desired, diced - 1 Tbsp

How to make german coleslaw:

Rinse sauerkraut in cold water really good. Squeeze out water. Mix oil, vinegar and sugar; pour out. Add the rest of ingredients. Refrigerate all day or overnight.
