Ingredients/Components

  • butter, softened - 2 Tbsp
  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • pecans - 1 c
  • egg yolks, beaten - 2 item
  • can coconut - 1 item
  • carton whipping cream - 1 item
  • bar German chocolate - 1 item
  • cooked pie shell - 1 item

How to make german chocolate pie:

Mix egg yolks and milk over medium heat. Add melted and cooled German chocolate. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, 3/4 of coconut, nuts and softened butter. Cool and pour into baked crust.

Whip cream and cover entire top of pie. Sprinkle remaining coconut and pecans over whipped cream. Store in refrigerator.
