German chocolate icing
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- vanilla flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- flaked coconut
- white sugar - 2/3 c
- Crisco shortening - 1/3 c
How to make german chocolate icing:
Combine sugar, milk, egg yolks and shortening. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans. Cool for 15 minutes. Put on cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Cake fillings and frostings.
