Garlic grits
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- boiling water
- egg - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 lb
- stick oleo - 1 item
- quick cooking grits - 1/2 c
How to make garlic grits:
Mix grits, water and salt. Cook until done; set aside and cool. Melt oleo and cheese. Add to cooked grits, with egg, milk and garlic powder. Put in greased casserole dish. Sprinkle 1/2 cup cornflakes on top. Bake 35 minutes at 350°. Excellent with ham.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Side dish, Southern u.s..
